The Role:
Tides Mental Health is seeking a Full-Time Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management and collaborative care for our patients.
This role is ideal for an experienced PMHNP who enjoys working in a collaborative outpatient environment alongside therapists and who values thoughtful, client-centered psychiatric care. The PMHNP will play an important role in developing an integrated approach to mental health treatment that combines psychotherapy and medication management when appropriate.
This position offers the opportunity to help build and shape psychiatric services within a growing and mission-driven practice.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications for clients receiving care at Tides
Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care
Collaborate closely with our team of therapists to ensure coordinated, client-centered treatment
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our electronic health record (EHR) system
Participate in case consultation and contribute to the development of an integrated care model
Support best practices in psychiatric treatment and client safety
Qualifications:
Licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the Illinois Board of Nursing
Full Practice Authority (FPA) required
Active DEA license and NPI number
3–5+ years of clinical experience in psychiatric, mental health, or outpatient settings
Experience providing psychiatric medication management for adults and/or adolescents preferred
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Strong commitment to high-quality, ethical, and compassionate client care
Interest in contributing to a growing and innovative private practice environment
